The Who pounds out nostalgia, spectacle
Sun Feb 7, 2010
I'm sorry, but it wasn't really The Who. Half the band is dead. It'd be similar if Paul and Ringo got up on stage, sang 'She Loves You' and 'Hey Jude' and billed themselves as The Beatles. Silly. It wasn't The Who.
Shots on horizon for Alzheimer's, AIDS, herpes
Wed Nov 18, 2009
"....could be on the market in five years or less." I'm tired of hearing this. I've heard it over and over. This is driven by money, not health. And these countless claims of "anytime soon we'll have a cure" is salesmanship.
Death of Caylee Anthony still captivates
Wed Jul 15, 2009
Gayle, I didn't even "read" this story. All I saw was the headlines, and I made a comment about this whole episode. Sounds like you've been slightly obssessing over it. Whatever gets ya through the night, I guess.
Death of Caylee Anthony still captivates
Wed Jul 15, 2009
No, the story DOES NOT still captivate. While my heart goes out to the little girl, it's high time the media stop bashing us over the head with it. I, for one, am tired of seeing it in the news. Let the girl rest in peace, for god's sake.
Is the National Spelling Bee a sporting event?
Wed May 27, 2009
Spelling Bees are not sporting activities, just like NASCAR, billiards, and poker. Driving fast and to the left and sweating profusely does not a sport make. Billiards and poker are games, not sports. And before someone tries to correct me, all sports are games, yes.
At 50, what's left for Michael Jackson?
Thu Aug 28, 2008
This article sounded like a pipe dream written by a big fan. While I've never been a fan myself, I've always acknowledged Jackson's talents. But that's history. Face it, the guy's career is over. Has been for a while.
Pope angry over crucified green frog sculpture
Thu Aug 28, 2008
I had to chuckle at this. How can a piece of plastic and wood be so threatening ? And I've always thought it curious how the more religious-minded a person is, the more easily it is for them to feel threatened and/or insulted by things as mundane as this.
At 50, has Madonna surpassed the Beatles?
Tue Aug 12, 2008
The story's writer, Tony Sclafani, is obviously delusional in comparing Madonna to the Beatles. Madonna is pop savvy, that's for sure, meaning she's always known how to market herself in the pop world, and it hasn't been with her music.
